WELCOME TO THE GITE D’ETAPE LES ETOILES in MOISSAC

SEASON 2021


Once I had walked the way to Santiago from Le Puy in 2020, I decided to welcome pilgrims and take over Beatrice’s gîte, she had created in 2010.

The Gîte d’étape “Les Etoiles” is located in the very center of Moissac, on a quiet street, within walking distance from the Abbey church, the Canal, the train station and all shops. Pilgrims, hikers, families… are welcome every day (fm April till October) from 3.00 pm for a peaceful stay in a warm and bright house. ( all details on page “rates”).

Major stop and grand place of Roman Art on the route to Santiago de Compostela (GR65), Moissac is part of Unesco World Heritage for its Roman Abbey St Pierre, cloister and tympanum. It also belongs to “Midi-Pyrénées Great Tourist sites”. The “Two Seas Canal” better known as canal du midi connecting the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea, crosses the city.
